Virginia CEC Poster Session Guide & Tips
Poster presentations provide a unique opportunity for the presenter(s) and the audience to talk with one another. The physical arrangements are in the main room. Space is provided to display information; you can offer handout materials. The poster session is noted in the conference program. When the poster session is scheduled, locate an empty easel to place your poster. During the designated time, the audience moves through the poster displays, stopping to interact with those presenting research, service, practice, or policy information that is particularly interesting to them. The interaction between the presenters and the audience can be more meaningful than just sitting and listening to oral sessions. When constructing your poster, remember to take full advantage of the opportunities provided by this unique presentation method. Virginia CEC will provide a tri-fold display board and an easel.
